Since many of the new lossless audio formats on HD DVD and Bluray are not decodeable outside of PowerDVD it would be nice to convert them into some more friendly format for MKV backups.
I ripped the PCM track from a Bluray movie and tried to convert it into FLAC. It went fine for smaller samples but when I tried to encode the entire 4,5 GB file I found out that FLAC seams to have a 2GB file limit.
Does anyone have any idea how I should store multichannel losslessly in a MKV container?
Any alternatives to FLAC?
Know any way to encode really large files into FLAC?
