Hi all, I did a search and couldn't find any resources regarding this. I seem to have tried everything and nothing seems to work. This is my problem.

I own a dlink dsm-320 media player. I download alot of videos (i.e. music videos and tv shows). The problem is when I play them through the 320 onto my 27" tv, the display size of the movie is always way too big (i.e. sometimes its so big that the you can't see the first and last letters in the credits on everyones name). I know that I need to change the video dimensions. Usually the files are in the 688X288 range.

I have been using digital media converter and nero recode in an attempt to resize the display (usually reducing it to a 588 X 240). The probelm is that when I go to replay them on my dsm-320 I get that its not a recognizable file type. Nero Recode changes them to MP4 while I have tried pretty much everything (including XVID) using digital media converter.

My questions are:

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it because I'm changing the display size?

Does anyone know a way around this?

Thanks so much for your help
Cheers

Perhaps you should read the forum rules (especially rule 6). Thread closed.
