Is there any software who can do that, and can XviD/DivX (or any mpg4 codec) muxed into .mpeg container.

This i need, because is probably only way to have subtitle on standalone player.

I don't think it is possible to store MPEG-4 video in the .mpeg container, atleast I have never heard of it being done or a program capable of doing it.

try ffmpeg, it will propably work

whether it creates an output thats compliant to the mpeg standard, dunno

Given that it's possible to place MPEG-4 Part-10 video with AC3 audio within the .MPG container.... It should be possible to place MPEG-4 Part-2 video within .MPG too....

I'm quite sure that MPEG-2 TS supports MPEG-4 Part 2. I'm not sure about PS though. I think that it's possible to place MPEG-4 Part 2 in TS using Elecard Dshow filters.

i am pretty sure that there are official specs for placing all mpeg formats in all mpeg containers
