Last week, a new thread appeared in this subforum with the title "PicVideo Mjpeg Codec Bug ?" by affter333. I was quite interested in that thread. If you scroll down, you can still see the thread title. But his post appears to have been moved, and I can't find it now. Does anyone know what happened to it?

It looks like it got put in moderation, because the pics used were too racy (looks like one of those bizarro jap game shows). If you want to generate less controversial caps, it'd probably be helpful.

PicVideo Mjpeg Codec Bug ?

Compress a video using picvideo mjpeg codec v3.0.0.12
multiple times. (quality settings = 19, in VirtualDub).

The results are shown below, notice the horizental lines and
strange blocks caused by re-compression. it is slightly notictable
even just by compress it 1 time.

Both progressive mode and interlaced mode have the artifacts.
Raising the quality settings will reduce the strange blocks,
but actually worsen the horizental lines. I know that Lossy
compressions always cause artifacts, but not like this.
any idea?

His original post had links that caused popups to XXX sites. That was moved to thread mod. I PM'ed him asking him to repost without the popups and he did so. The second thread was soon deleted by affter333. It did not receive any replies.
