View Full Version : My Output Videos Why Not Sharp with GordianKnot?

Hi!
I am using AutoGK and GordianKnot but when i saw other quality rips screenshoots they are not turpid but my own ones are all the time blurid avi's, not sharp...Especially colors...
(For example i am adjusting in GordianKnot for 95 min video with dual audio 1530MB output size and 1346 Kbit/sn bitrate for output avi)
Normally it doesn't matter length, filesize, bitrate, audio cause when i set all adjusts high i never got sharp avi!
What can i do to get (very) sharp output videos with GordianKnot or AutoGK?
Do i need to use qmatrix or something?
Thanks for your answers...

No i didn't use any...
I didn't know that...
If i check that box can i get sharpest avi's not blur?
I can try that one but what about other global option which KernellDeint filter? And if i need that one too what is settings(1-255(currently 10)
And is there any settings as like them in GordianKnot....
I wanna use GordianKnot because its very professional for me...

For AGK, you can get (nearly) all answers in the tutorial: http://www.autogk.me.uk/modules.php?name=Tutorial
or the FAQ: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72679

Thanks for your answers BigDid but unfortunatelly i don't wanna use AGK cause there are no more settings in there...
I am using AGK off course but GordianKnot is more advanced and adjustable for me...
So how can i do to get more sharpest avi's with GordianKnot?
I am only waiting answers for GordianKnot?

Gordian Knot and the latest XviD build will yield very good quality encodes, usually much better than AutoGK at the same settings for filesize and resolution. The simplest way to be sure you get a good output is to look at the "Bits/(Pixel*frame)" window and make sure it's not yellow. If it's not, either reduce the resolution or increase the filesize until it is.

I have latest XviD and I am getting quality videos with GK but not sharpest pictures...
All the time when the convert finished i am getting screenshoots from the movie by VDM...
I am anytime keeping check them all but that doesn't work for shapest not blurid video's...

Your general settings should result in a sharp image, but I'm betting, since it's animation, that there's another more common problem, and it needs to be deinterlaced. AutoGK can detect and correct it automatically, which is why that encode looks better. Can you upload a sample of the source video?
