How to view disc hidden info - lead-in

Am new, hope this is right forum.

Have tried many tools to find one that shows "lead-in" info written by set top player when it finalizes a disc. On purpose, am using older set top known to be picky, to solve/learn compatibility problems. When finalized, discs by set top play ok on pc and set top. When rip and burn iso of exact same disc, can play on pc ok, but set top does not recognize disc. Used decrypter to rip and burn.

Suspect set top writes some hidden info on lead-in of disc that it wants to recognize disc on replay, and normal rip and burn doesn't pickup and duplicate part of lead-in.

Tying to find tool to view/edit lead-in.

Tried DVD Identifier, vStrip, pgcEdit, IfoEdit, you name it.

Wonder if something like disc "provider ID" might be clue … set top writes "ZORAN DVD V".

5) Can your burned DVD play on any OTHER standalone DVD player(s)?

1. Standalone is Sansui VRDVD4005 (no longer made)

2. Media is DVD-R

3. Not sme supply media.
Standalone burn used Memorex: Manfacture name [CMC Magnetics Corp] Manfacture ID [CMC MAG, AF1]
PC burn used Maxwell: Manfacture name [Prodisc Technology Inc.] Manfacture ID ProdiscF02]

4. Burn speed is 2X

5. No OTHER standalone available.

Try using Verbatim or T-Y (Taiyo-Yuden) media...No OTHER standalone available.There are hundreds of other standalone players available - just take the DVDs to a retail electronics store and try them on the display units ;>}

Yes thanks, am getting poor media comments from other sites as well.

Also, learning that my Dell-provided burner is one of the worst around, PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 is notorious, prople calling Dell demanding replacement, many asking for a NEC-3450A that solves all their problems after change-out.
