Play back blues

hi i am having problems with play back of divx, i have tried different codecs and using the playa, after about 10 minutes of playback of divx film, i get an irrating sound like ta ta ta ta ta t ta ta, i stop film and still it goes on, until the only way to stop it is to restart. can ayone tell me what is going on, i have a soundblaster 1024 soundcard and i dont belive that is the problems as other divx play okay. only some times i get these sound.
