nero recode crash

hi every, hope this is the right place to ask ...
I'm tryind to do some encoding and as soon as I import files to nero recode it crashes :(
I have looked for a log file and found nothing, the version of nero recode is 2.4.5.0 from the nero 7 premium version
SO is windows XP pro sp2

more as to what you are trying to encode and what filters you have on your system (graphedit) for the file?

I'm just trying to encode plain huffyuv avi file to AVC, there's no audio included, just the video.
