When I make a copy of my dvd movies using dual layer disks the movies will freeze at a spot about halfway through the movie. This only happens when played on a home dvd player. When I play the movie on the computer it dosen't do it. I've tried different brands of dvds & different burning programs. The same movie will stop at the exact same spot even when a different brand of dual layer dvd or a different burning program is used. Any ideas to fix this?
Thanx

Hi!

Sounds like a layerbreak problem.

1) Suggested in many posts here and at other forums - Use only Verbatim D/L DVD+R media

2) Use (freeware) "IMGBurn" to burn

I tried using the IMGBurn and a Verbatim disk and the video stops at the exact same place as before. I think it might be
my dvd player. It doesn't say anything about reading dual layer disks. It just says DVD+R 4.7 The movies play on my computer without any problem. It must be the layerbreak.

1) What is the brand and model number of your standalone player?

2) What is the brand and model number of your burner?

If you use the following link to check the format(s) compatibility of your Panasonic DVD F65 player, unfortunately you'll see that it is specifically NOT capable of playing DVD D/L +R media...

Does the standalone play +R D/L discs with the booktype set to DVD-ROM?

Hi,
Thanx for your help. I thought the problem might just be with my DVD player since the disks play on my computer. I appreciate your help.
