GSpot 2.70 final -> problem with the identification codec the video.

Hey!
I have got with GSpot 2.70 final the problem with the identification codec the video.
I have a move compress with Koepi's XviD 1.1.2 final

When I open him in GSpot 2.60 RC1 all is ok the programme correctly identifies codec the video:

Instead when the opening the same the move in GSpot 2.70 final the programme doesn't show exact informations on codec the video:

Someone maybe know what is wrong?

So I would suggest to go back to RC-1, at least that's what I've just done. ;)

Should be fixed now, try v2.70a (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) instead. The original 2.70 had been posted less than 24 hrs before I became aware that some last minute bugs had crept in.

There's another bug with 2.70(a): The preload length is not reported correctly. It tends to show 512ms most of the time (or all).

Correction: In *some* cases. For example, a file with 500ms of AC3 preload showed 512ms. Maybe it's rounded up to the audio frame size?

I wonder if there isn't a "gentler" way to indicate the true status of MPEG-2 codecs/filters, soa s not to unnecessarily worry/frighten the "unanointed"?

I have been using the WinDVD MPEG-2 filter/decoder (associated with Windows) for years for DVD playback, with no additional MPEG-2 codecs installed.

When I drag & drop a .VOB file onto GSpot v.2.70A, it shows a BRIGHT RED notice that "No codec is installed".

Of course, at the bottom left of the screen, if I click on the "MS A/V" radiobutton, the information flow is accurately depicted...
