So i was converting a dvd to a 2cd xvid and it ran out of hdd space when it was creating the second half. I've still got the original 1.38gb avi so whats the easiest way of getting it into 2 parts again? ty :cool:

vdub, direct stream copy, mark half of it -> save. rinse repeat.

Hi!
Try freeing up some hard drive space by emptying the Windows "Recycle Bin" and, if you have Norton installed, empty its trash bin as well. Additionally, you should clean out your "Temp" or "TMP" folder/directory.
Most importantly, if you intend to do any serious video work, you should consider buying an additional LARGE capacity hard drive...

I marked half of it but the first half was 990mb, maybe i wasnt clear enough in the original post that i want both halves to be 700mb the way autogk would do it

When using VirtualDubMod, the placement of the pointer will also be indicated in MB to the right of the controls.

if the whole vid is 1.4gig, then how can half of it be 990mb?
guess you didnt mark half of it :P lol
