HD DVD playback fails

I have downloaded two hd dvd movies, sorry I mean I have some how made backups of them. They are both 1080p. I have tried PDVD 6.5 and 7.2HDDVD version and none of them work. I have searched and searched but still I am no wiser.

I have a P4 3,0, Geforce 6600GT, fast HDDs in raid 0, and a Dell 2005fpw via DVI.

Why doesn't this work.

Any thoughts on this would be nice.

But anyways, what are the movies compressed in?
H.264?
HD XviD / DivX HD / WMV HD ?
