Hi!
I use Gordian Knot to encode my DVD. However, it seems like GK does not support permanent subtitles.
Could you please suggest how to encode subtitles permanently? Which programs to choose? What kind of settings to use?
Thanks, Irakli.

Hi!
One method would be to use VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD (including their builtin "Subtitler" filter) with your video source and an .SSA-format subtitle file...

I tried to use DivXLand Media Subtitler which theoretically should be able to convert .sub to .ssa; however, it failed to open .sub files I created before using VobSub.
Could you suggest any solution for my problem?
Thanks

Actually, if you're already using GK you can fairly easily customize the avisynth script it uses to hardcode vobsubs. Just download vsfilter (http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/Media%20Player%20Classic/external%20filters/unicode/VSFilter.7z), extract it with 7-zip to your plugin folder where GK loads all the other plugins from, add a load line for it, and add:
VobSub("path\to.sub")
To the end of the script.
