strange noise

sometimes when I burn a video disk and play back on my DVD player ther will be popping like noise in the movie.What causes these strange typs of noises ad how to remove?

Hi!

1) Do you hear the same "popping like noise" if you play the burned disc on your PC?

2) Is it only one DVD in particular, or several, that exhibit this behavior?

3) Are these backups of commercial DVDs, or are they homebrewn? If homebrewn, it's possible that, for example, the audio sampling rate is greater than your standalone player can handle...
