View Full Version : ImgBurn version: 2.2.0.0 w/AnyDVD

I was wondering if any one else has tried this and it seems to work well. Don't know if it was in the older ver but I noticed ImgBurn version: 2.2.0.0 has a "Read" mode, ripping to an ISO img... I ripped a few newer Sony DVD's to ISO's with AnyDVD running in the background and it seems to work fine.

Does anyone know if ImgBurn uses the same, close too or dated ripping engine without the decryption as DVD Decrypter... if so that would be great for running AnyDVD in the background.

Sorry, I guess your right.. I answered my own question and realize it's a moot point.

In addition if you have, Anydvd running you can use Nero to make an image or any image making programs. Because the protection and css will be taken care of by Anydvd ;)

ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) has NO ripping engine. AnyDVD does. The fact that you are using it with ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) is somewhat surprising. It is a burning program.

It is a burning program.As you know, it's also now capable of reading from disc and creating an .ISO image file - and as "Fishman0919" has apparently discovered, using this new IMGBurn function while running AnyDVD, allows him/her to create a ripped .ISO.

I believe some users did and/or still do the very same thing using DVD Decrypter in conjunction with AnyDVD...

In other words, since AnyDVD will allow you to copy files directly from a disk via Windows Explorer, it will also allow ImgBurn in build mode to create an ISO from files directly off of a DVD?

Yes, but (read the first post of ths thread) according to "Fishman0919", if you use it while running AnyDVD (which does decrypting "on the fly"), you can successfully rip a decrypted .ISO image file...

ImgBurn version: 2.2.0.0 has a "Read" mode that will rip a DVD to an ISO img like DVD Decrypter... but can't not do so with copy protected DVD's. AnyDVD can remove DVD copy protection on-the-fly.
So by joining the 2 together you can rip a copy protected DVD to an ISO img and do with what you will afterwards..... no more wondering what settings in DVD Decrypter you have to uncheck or leave checked... just simplicity... an ISO img ripper and a copy protection stripper.

Yes, you can have AnyDVD running in the back ground and use ImgBurn in build mode to create an ISO from files directly off of the DVD or straight back to dvd, a 1 for 1 copy if you have 2 drives (1 to read and 1 to write)...but the "Read" mode will probably work better.

Edit: I don't have any DVD R DL blanks but I just did a 1 for 1 copy of Iron man (http://www.hollywoodvideo.com/movies/movie.aspx?LF=STL&MID=143056) which is a single layer disc using ImgBurn and AnyDVD in "Build" mode from 1 drive (read) to another (write)

Let me understand it boys, do you want to save CPU time?

Rip it with BackupHDDVD whatever version you like, burn it with IMGBURN, mount it with Daemon or Alcohol, bingo!

PDVD thinks you have HD DVD drive with the movie on your computer.

????.... What? Save CPU time? BackupHDDVD? PDVD thinks you have HD DVD drive with the movie on your computer.?

We are talking about Ripping a Copy Protected DVD with ImgBurn and AnyDVD running in the background?
