Possible to encode clips in virtualdub to play in reverse?

is it possible to encode video clips in virtualdub to make them play in reverse? sort of like a reversal filter? would this be to hard to do in the future if not available now?

Because of the way virtualdub decodes video, I don't think it would be possible without an enormous performance hit. However, you could get the same thing with a very simple avisynth script:

Avisource("myvideo.avi")
Reverse()

;)

btw, the documentation on that filter is cute. I wonder who wrote it...
