Hi all,
I have an evo file ripped from a disc with imgburn, that I cannot seem to play through the latest trial version of windvd8.
When I open the file, the window seems to spring into life and into what I believe is the correct aspect ratio (but not full size), but there seems to be only a black screen with no audio. I also have the trial of anydvd HD running aswell. I know this is for discs, but I thought it might help...
My machine is not powerful enough to play the evo at the correct speed, but I would just like to see what it looks like on my monitor (22" Widescreen samsung).

Can anyone help me with this, as I have tried everything, so I am now seeing if it is my hardware that is the problem. My setup is as follows:

3500+ 64 AMD
Windows XP Home SP2
NVIDIA 6600LE with 256mb hooked up to my monitor via DVI
1gig ram

I am going to try and do VGA rather than DVI to see if that makes any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nick B

Hi!I have an evo file ripped from a disc with imgburnSince when did "IMGBurn" become capable of ripping (eliminating copy protection and then copying) ANY type of disc, let alone an HD DVD?

the nvidia card is not capable of playing hd dvd as far as i am aware, if you get power dvd 7.1 or 7.2(although this is blue ray version) they have a tool that comes with it that will test your pc hardware and tell you if its compatible to play hd dvd or blue ray
