Hi folk!
2 last month I intersted about capturing old VHS and converting video to DVD, and captured more than 5hour video. I try many plugin and ready to use scripts for denoising VHS video. I see frame by frame in VirtualDub and find interesting thing, during capturing on video forming black border from left side, width this border depends from vertical position and also little change from frame to frame. I think this can explain that VCR spent different time for syncronization during reading line from VHS. This borders deformation expand to frame from left to right and deformed straight lines in frame. Simple idea for script:
1. find edge for luma at left border
2. define edge position
3. make backward shift for line
Also I find that this deformation decrease effectivness work many temporal and spatial filters, including MVTools. This main reason for this script.
