I made a divx4 dvd rip of the pearl harbor rc2 dvd with ac3 sound. When i play the movie from the beginning the sound is always 100% synchron. But when i jump a step forward the synchronosation broke. The sound is ~30min to late. With both ac3 streams, English and German, i had exactly the same problem. When i only play the ac3 stream in the Mediaplayer, the ac3 stream has the correct length of 2:55:38. I have extract the ac3 streams with dvd2avi 1.76 and vStrip GUI, same problem. Have the ac3 streams a protection or is Nandub the problem and donīt join the avi and ac3 stream correct.
Is their a other tool wich can join a avi file and an ac3 stream?

When i use the smart deinterlace filter in virtual dub with the 2pass divx4 encoding, must i use the smart deintelacer in the 2pass/first and 2pass/second or is it enough to use the smart deinterlacer in the 2pass/second.

I made a divx3 rip of pearl harbor, and i also used ac3 sound. What you should try doing is to use nandub to do the interleaving, in the interleaving options chose preload 64 ms, and interleave every 64 ms, then save your avi, i had a similiar problem to yours, adn that was the only setting that i could use, btw im using a Sound Blaster live sound card, so if you use the same settings on another card, i dont know if it'll work...
