Layer Cake R2 issues

i have search and i found this

but seeing as the dvddecrypter forums no longer exsit it might be hard for me to go there.

i have tried all the methords i found here and else where - the thing is although the rip looks like its gone ok when i run it through dgdecode i am seeing delays of 7789ms on the audio - is this right?

i even get that if i use the psl2 anydvd ripitforme and straight dvd decypter ripping

all latest versions of each program, which i have been told should handle this disc

yep and yep - i tried may different ways psl2 from pgcedit - which uses fixvts - dvd decrypter - then fixvts, even dvd decrypter and voblanker, and still all show extramly high delays on ac3

using dgdecode that comes with megui and lastest beta

i heard that this can be caused by a bad disc so i borrwed, my brothers version and both give me the same error, i can understand one copy maybe being bad but the chances of 2 diferent ppl having bad discs of the same film must be small (i hope) :)

any dvd shows ARccOS and puppet lock as the protection - heres the full info it gives

There's something in the RipIt4Me guide or FAQs about this and DGDEcode. The solution is to remove all tiny cells from the start of the title.

Do this with PgcEdit and mop up afterwards with FixVTS.

i thought it had removed all the useles stuff from vob_4.1 onwards

well i have tried just about everything i can for this disc - i think i may aswell just give up :(

I 18:29:27: Remove Tiny Cells = OnThis is the one item I make a point of having UNchecked in "RipIt4Me", as it seems too discretionary for my liking - and I've never experienced any problems as a consequence of having this "turned off"...

Actually, the delay value you get with Layer Cake is spot on. I had that, and when I synced it properly with Matroska, it was indeed as DVD Decrypter said. I had no problems ripping with DVD Decrypter.

so the rather large delay is corect ? 7800ms near 8 secs!!!

edit: after some more googling - it seems most ppl have unticked the first 9 cells of this film and let decrypter do its thing and then ran it through fixvts, which takes a small amount of info out of the vob, 0.99GB becomes 992meg, suppose i will have to rip it agin run it through fixvts and back it up - and then see

I had no problems ripping with DVD Decrypter.

wasnt the ripping that was an issue, was the high delay that was throwing me off and making me think there was a decrypting error

i'll give what setarip_old said a try and run it throught rip it for me again and fixvts and then do a test backup using autogk (speed) if all goes well i'll put it throught megui :)
