thanks blutach:eek:
yep, the only instance of it not working was when I tried to rip a DVD for the first time. could just be that it is new, it literally hit stores a week ago.

Hi!
The DVD probably has an "Autorun.inf" file on it.
Try running "RipIt4me" (including selecting either "Wizard" or "1-Click" mode) FIRST and then putting the DVD in your drive...
What is the Title and Region of the DVD?

Might it have to do with the RPC2 region setting? Assuming that's also the first time you inserted a DVD-Video in the drive?

I tried 12 Monkeys and Serenity just now, both Region 1 NTSC. Didn't work sorry!
It does say Region Control: RPC II in Nero Info whatever that means:devil:
I'm going to ask @ CDFreaks and see if anyone has tried this drive with RipIt4Me

Ok hopefully this works...
(4) JMicron JMB363 RAID Controller Driver :
Note:- DO NOT INSTALL THIS IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE JMICRON’S SATA CONTROLLER AS RAID OR YOUR IDE DEVICES, WHICH ARE ALSO PROVIDED BY THE SAME CHIPSET IN P5B DELUXE WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT INSTALLATION OF IDE DRIVER EITHER. WINDOWS DEFAULT DRIVER WORKS BEST. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE SAID DRIVER INCLUDING PERFORMANCE SLOWDOWN, BURNING SOFTWARES NOT WORKING PROPERLY WITH THE IDE DEVICES. YOU WILL ALSO BE NOT ABLE TO USE THE BURNING FILES - COPY/PASTE WAY OF BURNING FILES USING WINDOWS.
A couple threads in common had problems with IDE + P5B Deluxe...restarting...

Is JMicron only for raid? I hope this doesn't affect the performance of my drive. That fixed it anyway, we both found the same thread.
