Hi,

I'm just about ready to burn. I'm doing a test with X3. Ultimately, I will burn a dual-layer back-up (no, just the movie does not fit on a single-layer, and I want to b/u extras too).

I used VOB Blanker to get rid of all the crap. So I have all the video files in a folder on my hard drive.

What I'm wondering is, is it better to burn using the video files directly to the media, or to create an ISO on your hard drive, then burn that? Does one result in better quality or more stable results than the other?

Also, I found a guide showing how to burn dvd files directly to dual-layer, but how do you do that with single layer in ImgBurn? (Of course, if doing an ISO is better, then that question is moot, but I'd still like to know...)

Thanks for the help!

Hi!

1) If you already have a conforming DVD "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) on your hard drive, there's nothing to be gained by converting it to an .ISO image file before using IMGBurn to burn it. Just use the "Build" mode.

2) You can use IMGBurn in exactly the same way (except you won't have to select a "layerbreak") to burn a singler layer DVD
