I want to use mkv as container.
I installed the lastest Haali Matroska Splitter.
For muxing I use mkvtoolnix 2.0.0.
I muxed
a x264 video
an aac audio
an ac3 audio
a chapter file
a srt file
into a mkv file.
The file can be played in MPC.
Whenever I switch audio MPC freezes.
What is wrong?

Do you use internal or Haali's splitter in MPC? How about playback in WMP?

MPC on its own does the trick.
When I uninstall the Haali Matroska Filter, MPC plays the files without any problems switching audio.
:D
But I thought MPC's Matroska Filter is outdated and it is better to use Haali's.

Did you switch the audio streams from MPC or from tray icon of Haali's splitter? If it is a bug of Haali's splitter, it would be useful to report it.
Matroska support in MPC 6.4.9.0 should be O.K. AFAIK. You didn't have to uninstall Haali's splitter. You can turn on/off internal MPC's Matroska splitter in settings.

During the installation of Haali's Matroska Filter, there is an option to use the internal MPC for matroska or not.
It does not matter, whether I switch the audio at the tray icon or within MPC, when Haali's Filter is used.
If somebody encounters the same problem with Haali's Matroska Filter and knows a solution, please let me know.
Thanks for the help. Now I know, MPC works for me.

Are you sure you use the latest version of Haali's splitter ? There was indeed a switching bug but in a previous version. Maybe there's something else you installed (like CoreAVC or some codec pack) that installed an older version of Haali's splitter over the one you installed yourself ?
A small sample of the file (you can use the splitting function in mmg) on some free hosting service could be useful to reproduce the issue.

Now it works with the Haali Splitter.
I threw everything in the bin, codec packs, what I don't need.
I have ffdshow and the lastest Haali Splitter installed and the switching bug has gone.
Thank you.
