First when I got my computer I could burn DL discs and DVD Shrink processed on both processors automatically....now after a format and a re-install, I can't burn DL and Shrink doesn't use both processors during encoding unless I set the affinity in task manager...thats not a major issue, but I'd like to be able to burn DL again

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi!I can't burn DL1) What software are you using to try to burn DL media?

2) What is the problem you are encountering when you try to burn DL media?

3) What brand of burnable DL media are you using?

1) DVD-Shrink...I just set it to not compress..worked before I formatted the computer
2) The drive doesn't recognize the disc
3) I've tried a few brands...a couple off and couple named

1) As has been posted by others in many threads here and at other forums, DVD Shrink should not be used for creating D/L "packages" (.ISO image or .IFOs plus .BUPs plus .VOBs) for burning, because it doesn't properly establish the layerbreak, which is critical for a successful burn. For D/L backup (Other than "ARccOS" protected DVDs), use DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 to "Read ISO" and then use IMGBurn to burn.

2) Does your drive/system recognize ANY discs - commercial, pressed DVDs, CDs, burned DVDs, blank DVDs of any format, blank CDs of any format?

3) Thusfar, it appears (based on numerous posts at this and other forums) that the only consistently reliable D/L burnable media is Verbatim D/L DVD+R
