View Full Version : Muxing problem with MeGUI

I have started using MeGUI to convert DVD rips to AVI (XviD and MP3). Everything works great except the muxing. For example, MeGUI generates a avi (video only) file of 307MB and a MP3 file of 40.2MB and a muxed AVI (video+audio) of 333MB. I am able to use virtualdub to mux audio and video together but why is the muxing in MeGUI corrupting the file? The MeGUI muxed file doesn't play with any player.

Thanks

Have same problem too:
1) coding script in xvid_encraw - all ok
2) after muxing video+audio through divxmux (DivXMux_r2.zip) - have broken video

Have any working DivXMux??

Looks like their not in a hurry to fix it. atleast the h264 stuff mostly works. This will be a nice prog once its more stable.

Normally I use AutoGK for XviD, but thought I'd give MeGUI a whirl. Same problem as you describe. Ended up loading the encoded XviD (avi) + audio (CBR MP3) streams into VDub and 'muxing' as a direct stream copy. A bit tedious, but I couldnt be fussed looking around for another muxer.
