So what does Vista have in ultimate out of the box now?

I know you can play DVDs, but does that include AC3 and DTS?

Someone correct me, but it seems it can do

mpeg1/2, VC1, WMV9/8/7 etcetc
MP3, MP1, MP2, LPCM.

Yes AC3, no DTS.

VC-1 decoder IS the WMV9 decoder.

Audio:
WMA in all its flavors (Std, Pro, Voice, Lossless).
MPEG-1 Layer II and Layer III (MP3)
Dolby Digital AC3 (plain, no +)

Video:
All the WM Video codecs (Screen and Photostory too)
MS MPEG-4 v1/2/3 and ISO MPEG-4 1.0/1.1
MPEG-1
MPEG-2
MJPEG
DV25

Microsoft MPEG-2 decoder. Developed by the same team that develops the WMV decoder.
