ran out of memory

playing an avs in mplayer, i get an error message from mplayer that says "out of memory," when I play an avs in wmv, similar message. I'm running a Core 2 Duo with about a gig of ram so I have no idea what's up or what I did to screw it up. I know it's my fault because I was playing avs files just fine before I did "something" that I can't remember because I did a lot last night cause this is a new computer.

Oh yeah, and playing avis or dvds in mplayer, the screen is way too dark. I've looked about mplayer for a solution, but to no avail, I don't think the problems are related, but anyway. Thanks for reading, I hope somebody knows what I'm doing to it.

It's probably one of your plugins.
Remove the ones you installed last, or if you don't remember, empty your plugins folder and add them one by one until you find the one that's causing the problem.

Found it--a little thing called "set memory max." I just deleted it and files would play. Not sure why I would want to set memory max...but now it's gone :) thank you
