Hello,

After many attempts which employed the trial and error method, I have successfully managed to backup my HD-DVD collection. The relative size of which, is somewhat prohibitive. What I'm wondering however, if there is a relatively painless (a program with a GUI, I hope) way to convert these backups to x264. I searched through the forum and was unable to find anything, but perhaps due to my neophyte nature of my experience with encoding, I may have overlooked something. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Thank you. :)

I'm actually also interested, as I'm thinking of buying the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive.... but would definately convert to XviD/DivX/x264... as I understand it the files aren't your typical DVD type mpeg2 streams... would DGIndex + DGDecode work?

I have no clue. Right now I'm just sitting on some .evo files, I have not the slightest idea as to how to convert. I have an inclination that my question might perhaps be quite popular very soon...Maybe the next DVD2SVCD? (well, more along the lines of DVD2AVI to make the comparison more succinct) HD-DVD2x264? ;)
