Hi
I have a big problem.
I encoded a movie with TMPGEnc. And now I want to import that to Scenarist. But it gives me a message that the GOP must be equal 36 or lower than 36
I need to know what is the problem ? and how can I solve this problem

Tnx in advance

Here's a preview of a slightly changed forum rule2:

2) Respect the netiquette: This is a public forum. Before you start posting you are, in accordance with the netiquette, required to lurk in the forums of your interests of a while to get a feeling of the general tone and of what goes on and what doesn't. You will also learn many important things which you then don't have to ask again. The netiquette also specifies that you be specific, use a useful subject for your post so that everyone know what it is about and that you don't flood a forum with posts (or polls, etc) and much more.
please follow it!

I'm sorry, but I can't answer the question either.

I'm not using TMPGenc, but I am sure it has an option to limit the GOP Structure/size.

You better transfer your post/question to the TMPG-Thread!

a useful subject would have been: GOP settings in TMPG.

And fyi.. if you press Settings in the main TMPG screen, then click on the GOP structure tab you are where you want to go. First thing I'd try is to check closed GOPs (first of the checkboxes).

I don't use TMPGenc either, but I do know the difference between closed and open GOPs - and I can guess what the error message means. Closed GOPs are generally larger, but they can be edited at GOP boundaries. Closed means that the GOP contains no references to I or P frames outside the GOP.
However, the error message was complaining about the number of fields per GOP, 36 is the limit for NTSC DVD.

I would have answered sooner, but you addressed your question to Derrow.
