hello. Is it any software that can convert a normal dvd to 720p or 1080p?

If it is. Will the quality be better or worse?

You can try avisynth ... but upscaling before encoding isn't really a good idea IRL ...

You *can* upconvert DVD to HD, but you won't gain any quality by doing so. It will still look like DVD...

So you can, but unless you're conforming the DVD to HD for compatibility reasons, there's no real point (that I'm aware of). You use a lot more bits, but no real quality gain...
