If I want to make a 1:1 copy of a DVD (menus, deleted scenes, no quality loss)
Can I just rip an image (using gnomebaker or equivalent) and burn it to a DVD9 disc (DVD-R DL)?

Thanks for the help--i really haven't found too much information on doing 1:1 backups..... (probably cause google doesn't recognize the ':')

DVD2HDD will do that. It uses vobcopy. It depends on the decryption of the DVD. Vobcopy can't copy all DVDs. RipIt4me will do that. It runs also under Linux.
