Hello,

after I had backup a original bluray on my hdd i tried to burn it on a BD-RE. When i test this disc in the Panasonic Bluray BD 10 the player try to read the disc, shows shortly "BD-Video" and "play" on the Screen and after a few seconds stopps without playing anything.

Have anyone an idea what get wrong? It seems to me that the player recognized the RE-Disc but can't read its content. Could it be, that i must correct anything before burning like the vts-sectors from a dvd?

I have burn the hole decrypted BDMV folder to the disc, I had burn with Cyberlink Power2Go with udf 2.5 an a lg burner.

Hope that anyone could help me.

Regards

At the moment nearly all set-top players won't play back BDMV format discs written on BD-R's or BD-RE's as they havn't been allowed to implement it yet.

Just curious what folders you copied over to write to the disc

I did some testing too.I burned the BDMV Folder on a RE-Disc.
I only replaced the STREAM folder with the encrypted TS Streams.
In a Samsung BD1000 with first Firmware ,the Disc is accepted.
The Menu picture appears but without the control titles.
So the Menu isn't working at all.I load the disc again and pushed
play, next, enter at random and the movie did start.
Next chapter , audio and subtitle buttons did work.
Was someone succsessful with working menus on a standalone?
With the PC they work fine.
With a newer Firmware on the Samsung the Disc will be ejected.
There were reports that it worked again with the 4th ? Firmware
update?

Itīs all a bit strange. The first movie i try was a VC1 encoded one, it didnīt play at all.

Now i tested two movies which encoded in mpeg2, both play fine on the panasonic. Even menues, languages, subtitles and extra stuff.

Whatīs going wrong there ?
