I have a growing number of 448 Kbps AC3 Audio Files recorded from satellite radio stations. Most of them are entire concerts, and I would like to cut them into smaller pieces and also to remove pauses and spoken comments. I do not want to RE-ENCODE !
How can this been done quickly and precisely ?
I am currently using HeadAC3he for the cutting job, but before that I have to listen to the entire (1-2h) concert (I use PowerDVD7 or Creative MediaSource) and I have to note on paper the cutting points in Mins/Secs distance from beginning of the file. Then I have to go into HeadAC3he and have to set manually the desired cutting points.
That process is fastidious and takes hours ! I am wondering if there isn't a more convenient tool out there where I can sweep (and listen) through the entire AC3 file, set start and end points precisely, cut and "Save Selection" under a new name, and all this with the same tool.
For MP3 and MP2 I use "MP3DirectCut" which is so fast and comfortable to use, and I wonder if there isn't an equivalent tool for AC3.
Thanks a lot for any clue.
cheers
Bernd
