It was hard to think of a title for this problem, so here comes the longer explanation, hee hee.
When trying to play back a DVD (well the IFO of the segment I wish to watch) in Media Player Classic, the internal MPEG splitter will see the subtitle track, but it won't connect to any subtitle filters. Not even the MPC internal subtitle filter.
I hope this picture helps explain the problem:

I have to end up ripping the DVD (well the files of the segment I wish to watch) to disc, then opening up the IFO in VobSub and saving the subs as IDX/SUB, then MPC will connect it to a subtitle renderer.
Any ideas why it doesn't link the demuxed subtitle stream?
Thanks for your time in reading this.
