So I've got the T2 WMV files from the old Extreme Edition DVD and I've hit a wall with combining them into a single file. I tried some program recommended in another thread here but the output was garbage. Yes, I've tried copy /b but I'm not able to seek afterwards at all; it freezes the player (tried WMP and MPC and VLC). I've also tried WMVAppend and while, of the seven files, it can combine five with no hitches, it gives the following error when I try and combine a sixth:

Status WMT_OPENED Detected
Status WMT_OPENED Detected
Could not set Buffer Window for Stream 1 (hr=0x80070057)
Status WMT_CLOSED Detected
Status WMT_CLOSED Detected

I also tried Vdub-MPEG2 but I can't append multiple wmv files. I'm fairly new to Graphedit and totally unsure if I can merge files with it. What avenues are left open to me here?

Hi!

If you haven't already done so, check out the following Boilsoft program (don't be misled by the web page's name):

Easy program, but it too failed. At this point it could be that a file is bad, though I've combined the first five and last five with WMVAppend so I'm dubious that that's the case.

Is there a way I can demux and merge/remux into another container, like mkv?

Which is the drive you are trying to save the appended files to formatted as, FAT32 or NTFS?

AsfBin worked like a charm. Thanks for the suggestion, zambelli.

Thanks for the help as well, setarip.

Try Asfbin Master. It's free, you can join wmv files without re-encodung. So you'll have the same original quality
