Xvid encoding

Hi,

I have downloaded some.avi files whose size is quite unusual (at least for me), in fact it is 608 x 352

I am wondering what is the best format I can use to watch those files on a 4:3 TV (PAL) using a standalone DVD player.

Maybe SVCD or shall I go down to VCD? :scared:

Well, I could re-formulate my question to avoid breaking rule 6 but I guess it makes no sense now.
As far as rule 12 is concerned, the second part is for me very debatable, but since those are the rules of this forum I won't object.
As you said, almost 3 years and 100 posts, never had a remark from anybody, obviously this time was not my intention to write something which is judged inappropriate.
However, since I think my question can be answered, I will look for advice in another forum.
