I demuxed the tracks from a .mkv file. When I remux them back together, the subtitles get messed up. Using avisynth -> textsub("file.ass") fixes it, but how do I mux it into the mkv file with textsub, while still remaining as softsub? Any idea what's wrong with this?

I'm posted in the avisynth board, but it seems to be in the wrong place so I'm trying the containers board now. Hope this is the correct place.

Strange. Does the problem occur on every dialogue or only this one ?

Perhaps there is somme kind of small synthax error in the ASS subtitle... Try loading it in aegisub : it can detect some errors and display a warning message with the number of the line.

Even though I don't know who closed it, I'm opening this thread again. scyfon, if you had another thread on this subject, please add a post there and redirect the rest of the discussion over here.

As long as you're aware of the rules and not blatantly opening threads of the same subject all over, all is cool. Take it easy ;)
