Hi,
I want to try an XviD encode at 2 different bit rates. I believe I don't need to redo the 1st pass for the second encode. How do I run just a new second pass in Gordian Knot?

I've selected the 'Nth pass' option, which I presume will do this, and it asked for a stats file. So far so good. But then there are *2* buttons - First Pass and Second Pass. That seems odd as Nth implies this setting is only doing 1 pass. Which of the buttons do I need to set up for the second pass settings, and what will the settings of the other button do? Or does 'Nth pass' do something else entirely from what what I'm thinking?

It occurred to me that ideally, Gordian Knot would remember that a 1st pass had just been done with the same settings, and not redo it, but I'm assuming that doesn't happen?

You're doing a 2nd pass only, so you need the "Second Pass" button. Make sure to use the same settings as for the first pass.

The other button does nothing. In fact, if you choose "First pass" the "Second pass" button is greyed out. So it's a minor GUI bug that for "Nth pass" the "First pass" button is still active.
