View Full Version : MCE crashes when stopping MKV files

Just a quick one: I have setup MCE so that it can playback MKV files (and I have subtitles). Works like a charm, except... if i hit the Stop button or try to change the video to another video files (in short if I try to stop the current playback), MCE2005 just hangs...

Using the latest Haali splitter, in conjunction with CoreAVC.

In other words, you're playing mkv files with h264 video inside, using MCE and CoreAVC for decoding. That "MCE hangs on playback stop" is a known bug for CoreAVC versions previous to 1.2. Either update CoreAVC (but beware of the activation scheme) or use ffdshow for h264 decoding if your cpu is fast enough.
