Hello,

as I'm pretty new to DVD etc., I hope my question was not answered 100 times before (though I searched the forum, I couldn't find the answer!):

I have this "CyndiCrawford" work-out DVD (don't make a joke out of this ;) ) with 23+1 IFOs and 48+1 VOBs (Ripping to HD was noo problem).
There is a huge menu built round this DVD (so you can choose single exercises, a group of exercises, a whole workout ...).

As most of the scenes are used in more than one exercise, the scenes are not sequentially stored in the VOBs (it looks very strange, when you view the VOBs directly).

What I want to do is, extracting "Workout A" to one single file.
Is there a tool, that I can tell: "imagine clicking on this menu button - and save the film"?

I already succeeded in saving the "main title" of a film-DVD - but here I've got so many VOBs, and scenes scattered over the VOBs.

thanks for any assistance
michael

Hi!

Use DVD Decrypter to rip the files in "IFO mode", rather than "File mode" - and select individual "PGCs" (titles)...

thanks for the comment,
I will try immediatly tomorrow ...

but would this mean, that I get one stream for every menu-button (title).

This would lead to a multiplied size (as every scene is member in at least two menus ...). Does this really work?

thanks
michael

Select only those titles that you determine represent individual exercises (Usually identifiable by the timelength)Does this really work?Do you think I made it up, just for you? Yes, it works ;>}

sorry :sly:

I tried it right away!

The problem is, that I now have 23 VTSs (IFOs) with a lot of PGCs, chapters and cells. -> How can I find the PGC that I want to extract?
Is there another tool, where I can start the DVD, click on the menu, and the tool tells me, what IFO "I clicked on", to find out the wanted IFO and then start DVD Decrypter?

(unfortunately I can't do the extracting for all PGCs in one step in DVD-Decrypter ...)

thanks for your help!!!
regards
michael

Play the video on your standalone DVD player - select the desired video - set the "Display" to show TITLE - This is the same as the "PGC"...

Hello again,

ok: so I finally was able to find out the 3 titles/chapters I was looking for!
title 67 chapter 1
title 66 chapter 3
title 66 chapter 4

my problem is now, how to find title 67 and 66, as I can only see 23 VTSs with a few PGCs 1, 2, 3, ... under each!

thx for your patience!!!
