I usually use DVDdecrypter to rip to hard disk, then run DVDshrink to do a re-author backup. For the most part, I'm happy with the quality of 2 feature per single layer disc. Sometimes I'd like to reduce the audio track from 5.1 to plain stereo to save space. Can someone provide some pointers as to what it process and tools will that entail.

I don't need detailed how-to, but a brief outline of the concept and process will be helpful. Also, if you recommend tools, I would appreciate mentioning of alternate options, if you have know of them, and maybe state why you prefer your favorite one.

Thanks!

thanks Pookie! Looks like I need to learn to use MeGUI? That seems to be mentioned in a lot of the threads. Am I on the right track?
