Help with OGG media format.

I got a movie i wanna watch, its encoded in ogg... there wasnt a .ogg or anything in its filename, i could never watch it, thought it was bugged or something. when i right click on the file and go to properties in the type of file section it says avi format (what ever that means)

after redownloading it several times i decided taht the source was probably corupt.

after several months later i came across an amazing software by the name of Gspot, its a software that will scan any media and tell you what codecs u need to install in order to play it... it had nothing on the movie except that it mentioned ogg.... after googling it, i got the codec and it plays XD yay!!!!! :devil:

However one minute into the movie i was dissapointed again... the movie it seems has two sound tracks embeded in it. a japanese sound track with everything said in jap, and a dubbed sound track!!! its sooo anoying cause the english voices are lower than the jap... =.= so in the end i can only hear the jap soundtrack clearly... which i dont understand a word of what they say... cept for like hello or something...

i have currently tried to play the file with divx, Wmp, creative media player, and none of them will let me do anything about the duo soundtrack!!! help!!!

i asked in the forum by the name of afterdawn.... after around 2 months... i get no reply whats so ever!!! im hoping that doom9 will be faster :P

thanks if anyone has a solution for me, i really wanna watch this movie :P

'Tis simple: you should use a player that can switch audio streams, like Media Player Classic, or install an apropriate splitter, like Haali's Media Splitter, that would let you choose whatever track you want (it supports mkv, ogg and mp4 containers).

Btw. Somene may question the legality of your source soon. ;)

I had good experiences with VLC media player and Ogg files. I'd suggest you to try this player.

And one more suggestion - try MediaInfo to analyze the file. It supports more formats then GSpot.
