Hey guys, I'm trying to play some HDDVD with PowerDVD 7.2. I can't get video acceleration to work, every time I start a HDDVD it disable it and the playback is very choppy (something like 2 or 3 fps).
The strange thing is I got it to work once, but I can't remember how I did that
I tried everything, going back to 6.5, even trying windvd 8 (wich just crash while launching a HDDVD mmmpff)
I'm using a X1900XT 512MB with the latest Omega drivers (cause the official keep on crashing on me with certain games, thx ATI) and the xbox360HDDVD drive.

Nevermind, it seems PowerDVD doesn't like CPUIdle at all. So thx anyway :)
edit: Hardware acceleration still doesn't work, if anyone find out how to activate it, I'm still interested :)

Hello, finally my first post but i hope not the last one :)

I tried PowerDVD 7.1 HD Edition with original KingKong HD-DVD and for me Hardware Acceleration works fine. If i disable HA, it runs very bad and with about 10fps. Even with enabled HA, sometimes it stucks for a very short time but it's ok.
I guess you already tried the new 7.1 Catalyst drivers, didn't you?
