I was at my buddies house and he showed me a program called Handbrake for mac's. It rips the movie and encodes it in the same process. Is there a program that does this for PC's?
I also noticed that this program took less time to encode a movie into H.264 compared to my Nero 7, could it be because it was mac based?

WOW!
I just stumbled across this and tried it and I'm pretty amazed at how simple and easy it is! The quality leaves a lot to be desired, and it isn't very manipulable at all, but for a truly quick-and-easy one-click, it's pretty amazing...
