Not too bad. Less pumpy than the early versions. No JAVA requirement any longer (or knowing where the command line apps were located).

To extract without installation, download UniversalExtractor. This is only for the registry-entry phobic/Portable App guy.

How about telling us what this program does?

Whoops:o Combination Normalizer/Dynamic Range Compressor/Brickwall Limiter for WAV and AIFF files. Versions available for Windows, OSX, and Linux. Free.

Not bad for a quick and brainless volume maximizing on a 2 track WAV that you're about to encode to AC3, MP3, M4A, etc. Nobody will be complaining that the sound level is too low, that is for certain. Unfortunately, there are no options in the program - you just drop the audio on the GUI and the app begins the job. The app creates a copy of your original audio, so the source isn't touched if you don't like the effect. Not for music, unless you're boosting an audience recording. OK for dialogue, speech, podcasts, etc.

The majestic but lacking control interface

Before and After (notice the quiet parts are boosted to be almost as loud as the loud parts, hence "leveled")
