media players freezing up on auto gk files

I use winamp, or the divx 6.4 player, for replay of ripped files.

When I fast foward the movie it often freezes the player ( both winamp and divx ) This only happens when I play the auto gk files . Audio is ripped in different methods depending on file size , generally 192 vbr.

I was using I´m too dvd ripper before, but have since stopped using inferior programs. The thing is, if I fast foward the ,I´m too dvd files, my player does not freeze.

I also have to ask ,is the h263 optimized diabled in favour of h263, if so ,any one know why ?

When you used the IMToo program, did it also generate VBR .MP3 audio or CBR?

I´m not sure setarip_old, as I´mTOO does´nt create stats files for these . I noticed they were in 44khz which is sad.
settings were as ; 256kbps, q. very high, stereo.

I have a couple of red ones in the codec , filters list . It lists them as missing - -

ok , Well that was a lesson . I´ve been in the land of missing/broken - filters/codecs for a few hours straight.

K-Lite codec pack helped ,fixed all problems .

Interesting point :divx player, version 6.2 and earlier, did´nt require restarts and sound played fine .

divx player ,version 6.4 on the other hand ,required restart and had no sound . I stuck with 6.2 .
