Which Standard?

We all know the difference between DVD-R/RW and DVD+RW/+R. Which standard will stick around? I recently ordered a HP DVD-Writer Drive/dvd100i and noticed that it only supports the +RW format. Any other guys here use that drive? My standalone player is compatible with the media so I guess that's all that matters.
