meGUI stops encoding after a set time...

Every time I use meGUI to try to encode "Over the Hedge", it keeps stopping to encode once it reaches 39.6 mB. No error message, no nothing. It just stops.

Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere for me to compare to check so that I'm not doing anything wrong?

what video encoder are you using? Try using the other of xvid/x264 and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, that means the problem lies with the video encoder.
