when using autogk i got problems with my amd x2 4200+

wenn encoding starts process priority is set to "normal" in VD, which leads to 60-70% cpu-time..eben when setting this to high or highest this stays the same..

BUT when i set priority in VD to "ilde" both cores are running 95-100%...

system is a shuttle sn27p2 with nforce 570, x2 4200+@5200+, 3gb ram

driver are up to date, amd driver is up to date, amd -optimizer is also installed...

doenst make any difference if cool and quiet of amd is active or not...

any ideas...???

Hi and welcome to the forum,

OT: It seems I often have the honor to welcome people with 1st post and old registration, it seems you have the record. Again, welcome. /OT

It has been discussed in some avisynth threads or in other sections related to dual core efficiency that distinction can be made between the cpu-time and the average FPS (or total time).

To be sure you will have to watch the average fps in VDM or do a short test encode and compare total times.

well...

ot----
i had a site running on divx and xvid a couple of years ago (www.divxvideo.net), had lots of visits and watched of course the gurus of doom9 :-) hehe...but its funny...i did not know that my registration was that long ago (and that i never posted)...
ot off---

with my test video i can definitly tell u that the fps are in normal and high mode around 48-50...in idle mode 70+...this has been confirmed by other users in the chip.de forums who even use ic2duo cpus...

also i can see in the taskmanager that both core are only running with ~60-70%...with idle mode they are both at 100%...

btw....i use divx pro codec...
