need help with menu options

ok guys, i hope this is the right thread :). i need some pointeres with what i am hoping to do.

i've recently copied a bunch of old home movies off tape onto the computer with a capture card.

now what i am hoping to do is lay down a full dvd size file onto a disc, but then create kind of hotspots i spose you could say. have in a menu say goto wedding and it would jump to and start playing that scene. or goto reception and it would go there ect... for all the many many different recordings, now i could i spose go through and cut and resave each scene seperatly, but was hoping there was a way to just keep it all together... then i can go like just play all or play certain scene... just like you can with a movie (Scene selection)

how could i go about doing this... what programs, methods...

ok, well i tried cyberlink powerproducer. and it worked well in the sense i just loaded up the file and just hit split at each scene change, and it automatically created another button on the menu.. but it doesn't have a play all that i can tell anyway. but that doesn't' matter to much though i spose
